Libertarians and classical liberals are one in the same. Regressives(progressives) hijacked the name. Whenever liberals try to claim the founding fathers as their own it makes me giggle because they stoood against everything modern liberals stand for.

Same thing.
Today's "liberals" gave THEMSELVES that name when "Hitler" became a dirty word here and his adoring supporters in the U.S. needed to improve their image.
Some REAL liberals, annoyed that American fascists now call themselves "liberals" took to prefixing "classical" to point-out they mean "liberal" as it was understood before lying Progressives stole the word for themselves.

Todays liberals are a lost bunch in my opinion because they want people to have choice when it suits them, but take choice right back when they want to control society. This is true with guns, talk radio, and even with capitalism, they love spending those corporate dollars, but they hate corporations.

They want you to have all the freedom they will let you have. They start programs like health care to help you, then start telling you what you can buy and eat because they gave you something free in the first place.

Libertarians believe if you stay out of it in the first place the market would make these plans very affordable and people would by them if they had no other choice. Like lazeic eye surgery and cosmetic surgery have dropped in price and are better and more affordable than anything covered by insurance.

The market drives quality and quantity of service up, government does the opposite.
