Why is the United States going to Socialism?

Because the people are greedy and want everything for nothing...and the dem's have gone as far left as they can go ! People aren't listening or reading or know their history...so we will be doomed to fail like other countries. If they want Russia's economy or even Canada's economy or government...let them have it. They dont' realize for what they think they are getting FREE is meaning HIGH HIGH taxes and no choices...and no future. It means government getting into your lives and business...and taking what you have left so you are LEFT to rely on the government. No competition...no joy in your jobs...and fighting for every penny you get and are trying to keep.

People should really read history...and the MAJORITY of AMERICAN'S SHOULD BE INVOLVED...not just a few million.! But they are complacent and think one person doesn't count...but that one person and another person etc...adds up to MILLIONS that WOULD COUNT if the spoke up. Hopefully though they would be more educated and understand politics more than today's people do though.

I really do think people should be taking tests before they vote to see if they KNOW and understand the issues instead of relying on what others say and making up their minds for them. You have to take a drivers test...but we vote to put people in office to RUN our country and economy and we rely on the media and others to tell us what is going on instead of researching it ourselves.

And to whoever said the government went too far to the right...I don't think making people responsible for their own debts and problems is too much to ask. I don't think that is too far right to ask people to pitch in and HELP AMERICA instead of taking ADVANTAGE of all our SOCIAL programs when they don't need it. And don't tell me people don't use them if they don't need it. I know plenty of people who are on welfare and have great cars and 100 dollar shoes and jackets and IPODS and cell phones etc. YOu don't need that stuff if you are on WELFARE...work to get OFF of it first..and EARN IT!

The problem is....we are WAY TOO FAR TO THE LEFT and things are going socialist. That is why millions are going to ACORN...a VERY SOCIALISTIC GROUP!

Because all the conservative Democrats defected to the Republican party in 1980. They were pushed out by all the Viet Nam era New Left who migrated into the Democratic party all during the seventies.

The New Deal/Fair Deal Democratic party of Harry Truman no longer exists.

Today's Democratic party is a socialist party consisting of vying special interest groups: Southern Democrats vs. Northern Liberals; California greens vs. Rust Belt democrats; socialized medicine adherents vs. go-slow health care reformers; anti-war liberals vs. cautious centrists and the anti-bailout crowd vs. the powerful Michigan democrats.

President Obama has admited to being a Marxist and the socialist democratic party is now in control of both the Congress and the White House.

Its going to be a long four years.
