People only have so much Disposable Income. Over the last 20 years the DI dedicated to horse wagering has declined do to regional casinos being built, lotteries being played and baby boomers retiring on a lower income than what they earned during their working years. Couple that with high unemployment and a generally declining population of quality horses and you are faced with low attendance, low handles and a show that is less than steller in its offering. The United States needs to legalize online gaming. It's the current wave and the wave of the future. Why let the Cayman Islands rake in the massive profits? Let's keep the money here in the U.S. |
