How Can I Legally Quote Tweets from Twitter.com?
I want to take some quotes from a persons tweets and write a blog about them. He's very funny and the quotes help me comment on his sense of humor. I'm very eager to write this, but I don't want to plagerize.

When I'm taking quotes from a person's tweets, I usually do a screenshot of their tweet direct from the twitter site, including their username, and link the screenshot to their twitter profile.
I can't find any really recent posts that I've done like this, but I just found one on my personal blog that has a really tiny version of what I mean lol.. http://pennybutler.com/tips/good-copywri...che-blogs/ (thesedays I actually make them the same size as they are on Twitter) Another alternative is to write the post - send him a DM to what you have said and let him be the first to decide whether he's ok with it before it's 'live'. |
