Well, you need to have somewhat of a friendship or know eachoother on a first name basis, then ask. it will be less freaky if she knows you. And twitter would help

Ask her. Seriously, girls like guys with confidence so get some. Twitter maybe. but that's kinda childish. I would only go that route if you don't get to see or talk to her in person a lot.
