Edit: What I'm saying is, the minutiae of my life doesn't even interest me that much, and I'm not vain enough to think that a bunch of random strangers are going to find it fascinating.

no don't have an account, but some times I know that some twitter on other social media in fun.

I check it every day to get a feel of how people are really thinking where I live. Don't follow any"famous" people.

I also use it to check in with friends who live abroad at the moment- its free.

And update parents using the school account; but people who tweet that they have arrived at their desk etc are not my thing.

Also like to see the stuff on Colossal using Twitter- interesting stuff.

Used much the same way as we skim headlines to see whether the report is worth our time I think it is a good thing.

Oh yes and due to the 'riot situation here I view the police Twitter account on a regular basis to see where not to go!!
