Can we ask and answer questions in facebook like in yahoo answers?

Ya you can.. but not exactly like how you can do it here.. in Facebook only Poll type questions can be asked and you gotta wait for your friends to reply...

But its a social networking site and not a question/answer site.

Yeah buddy u can ... infact thr is a dedicated section of facebook to ask ur doubts of facebook under facebook section ... well did u stiffle the glitches u encountered during creating facebook account kya ?? i mean hv u created ur FB a/c succesfully ??

Go to some community(fan-page).Then go to the option "message board".You can ask questions there. but it should be related to fan page you are posting in(not necessary though).

You can also make polls.

Please stay away from Fb.It is terrible.!!
