Are there any internet browsers that allow you to have a homepage other than Internet Explorer?
I am trying to make Yahoo as my homepage so I can check for mail but, I am currently trying Safari but it has to let the Apple site as your homepage and I don't like to use Internet Explorer because of so many people in the world use it and so it is likely targeted for viruses.

Ok, your browser doesn't make a lot of difference as far as viruses are concerned, however i don't blame you for not wanting to use IE because it's awful. Try Firefox or Google Chrome, both allow you to change your homepage.

I have never used Safari before but this tutorial might help.

But onto your question...
I can personally say that Firefox is an excellent web browser.

I also have heard good things about Google Chrome and Opera.

In safari, click Edit>Preferences from toolbar. change the option on opening new windows from 'top sites' to home page. Then, in a box on same menu, select your preferred home page. Kewl! Smile

However, you should know that most malware now comes in via the browser and not email. There was a significant independent study done on browsers (IE8, IE7, firefox, opera, safari) in july of this year by NSS labs. they found that IE8 trapped 83% of all malware, while firefox came in second with 21% and opera and safari were somewhere around 10-15% and IE7 only 5%. So, it may be that IE8 is safer, but that depends a lot on the sites you visit. Regards.
