Help! On facebook, My friend sent me this thing on chat: omg hahah have u seen this photo u got tagged in LOL ------> bit.ly/hcLxO0
and now it says I’ve inboxed that to all my contacts. Can someone please tell me how to stop this?! Ads |

Hi. Login to your Facebook account, and then go to Account Settings. From there, click on Notification Settings, and you'll see all the information that you're sharing, and who with. Just untick any of the boxes next to the applications that you don't want to share information with, and then click on Save Changes. I've personally just done this, and I've only just realised that all the applications I've ever used are still set to notify me when something new gets posted by my friends. Unfortunately, with applications, Facebook seems to share everything with everybody, by default, so you have to adjust the settings to suit yourself, or you'll get notifications every day, several times a a day, by all the games and applications that you use. I've just removed over 100 notifications from games and applications from my account that i used when i first joined Facebook, but haven't used for over a year.
