how can i recover old email address i think i deleted it but not sure?

If you can remember a name or topic, do a "Search" on your 'Inbox' and 'Sent' folders for any email that you received or sent to that person ...

If you use a web based email service, and do not save your emails, and the address is not in your Address Book, then too bad .. you will have to google for that persons name / details and see if you can find them on some public 'community' site (such as Facebook, Twitter etc) or their own web site

If all else fails, ask all your other 'friends' if they can help (often people are 'friends' with one another forming loose groups in Facebook etc and people outside Facebook with similar interests to yourself may well know similar people inside Facebook)
