With sites such as Facebook, twitter and myspace there has been a lot of progress made in the way of creating a strong social network.

People - LOL
Lots and lots of people. An active search option is also twitterfic, not to mention engaging ways of connecting with each other. I'd like to see a better GUI interface to make it easier to find what you are looking for too without all the nonsense that some social networks include.
