Not at all. I, like you, very much value my privacy and prefer not to stay in touch with half the world just because "we had a class together", which translates into: I never talked to you, but I want to add you to increase my own "friend" count. I have never had a Facebook and never will as a phone number and email address is, in my opinion, a sufficient amount of resources to stay in touch wih me. Continue to live your life as you have been, stay away from everyone's incessant moaning and groaning, and just live your life the way you want. Employers shouldn't ever judge you on something so trivial.
