Is corporate money in politics the reason for our lowered standard of living?
The US is falling further behind the Northern European countries when it comes to standard of living. The main difference in the US is money in politics and the corporations lies about unions and social programs. Do you believe that the reason we are falling behind come from the de-regulations of industry and current corporate stranglehold on our politicians?

really? that's the main difference?

...so it has nothing to do with those countries teaching in a national language?

...it has notthing to do with their immigration standards?

..it has nothing to do with them having an established "core" curriculum?

...it has nothing to do with their belief that primary education is for "education" and not "socialization?"

yeah.... corporate money.... that's certainly the "educated" answer..... isn't it...?

No, its the politicians who take the money and then create regulations to help those corporations to destroy the free market. Switzerland is the only European country that will continue to do well because they have more freedom. Germany will eventually be taken down by the rest of the EU.

Your first statement is a lie. Europe is in the same turmoil we are. The Euro-cultures, including us, became so spoiled by the prosperity brought with reduction in birth rates at the same time great advances in technology created large new industries soaking up the prior excess labor. That raised wages for everyone and brought an unprecedented prosperity for working classes.

That inspired the new delusional squandering under the assumption full employment was permanent. Most of the rest of the world did not end its gross overpopulating and remained in miserable poverty until cheap, fast container shipping carried many of our industries to the tiny wages their desperate burgeoning hordes accepted.

Now particularly the huge hordes of excess labor in China are literally swallowing the world's economies. Neo-Marxist bigots, like their classic Marxist mentors did in the last economic depression, are distracting everyone from the real cause of most human disasters in this world: gross overpopulating. It devastates economies by flooding the labor market, ruins the environment by taking ever more habitat from other species, and forces wars of conquest to satisfy the need of expanding populations.

"Greedy capitalists" do suck workers blood, but they suck it from the floor. Overpopulating excess labor cuts each others' throats by undercutting each others' wages.
