How to control and limit internet access and usage in company?
I work in a printing press company of around 80 employees, and there are about 12 computers connected to a server. We are about to install broadband internet. I need employees to be able to access emails from outlook only. However they should not be able to use messaging software or surf the web and access sites such as Facebook, Twitter, ebay, etc.
What is the best and easiest way to achieve this. Is there a software I can use? Ads |

We control ours using Symantec Endpoint. On top of the security aspects, you can limit the access they have and the sites that they can visit . This will also reduce the exposure to potentially harmful viruses, scam, etc. save space on your drives and reduce broadband usage. There are things people do not need to do at work that are better left to their off hours. All the best.

dear sir ,
U can do the above required settings, please let me know which broadband ur planning, i wud suggest instead of blocking everything , just block porn sites , as social sites may nt cause much diff to employees due to there work load, no need to keep track on them , later on if u think its necessary then u can do setting required immediately , moreover u cannot block torrent on any PC , as torrent tends to use any open port available in router, , so just be strict with policies but practically dnt apply them . If still u wish to go ahead with ur reasons then u can mail;l me with details of broadband on aniketkpatil@yahoo.co.uk |

Try some smart pc monitoring and manage apps like netspypro or acespy:
http://www.monitoring-softwares.com/ It can help block sites and apps from being used. |

You need an internet filtering product, which can monitor/filter all client computers from ONE server. As I know, a program named "WFilter" can do what you need.

There are actually many different things that you can use though the best and easiest way is to use Internet monitoring software. It will not necessarily prevent the usage, but it will give you reports of who is doing it. You then could use this to control people using the Internet. Many of these Internet Monitoring packages even have ways to limit subject matter, etc. There are many great ones out there so look around before settling on one.
