What effect do social networking/media websites have on national security?
Social networking sites allow for information to spread very rapidly amongst the public - does that then make top-secret information all the more unstable? Similarly, does the fact that groups such as terroists can now easily 'hook up' to communicate via facebook and the like... does that pose a risk to nations' security?

No. Both social media and "the groups" have been there for long time. It could have happened if it can. National Security works well. We are suffering from more violence domestically than internationally.

Everything has got two sides. Social Media is a tool. It totally depends on how one uses it. If people make sure that they will use social media just for their personal purpose, won't offend others and follow all the security measures.
