How come I always get a green dot on Facebook instead of the phone icon?
Whenever I access my Facebook account from an iPad or iPhone through the Facebook app or messenger app, I always get the green dot while most of my friends have the phone icon.

I got both apps Facebook and Messenger from the appstore.

How do I get the phone icon?

What you do it email facebook. If you feel too lazy to do that, do what I

did. I had the same problem a few months ago and my friend told me

I have an iPod Touch (I'm using it now) and I have a green dot. It's also that way when I use an iPad. If you're using Wi-Fi, that may be the reason why you have a green dot. If you're not in a Wi-Fi zone, your iPhone uses the satellite, so that may show a phone. I'm not sure exactly why, though. Your friends who have the phone icon might know. I don't see why you care if there's a green dot or a phone. However, as I said, your friends who have the phone icon might know.
