Why wont the Twitter app for android let me save photos?

I have a LG Optimus S and when I try to save pics from twitter to my phone, it wont show up in the gallery or any other albums. I used to have the Sesmic app, and it let me save pictures, and the pictures would show up. Is it possable to save pictures from the twitter app?

no... just like facebook app, twitter app wont allow users to save pics....

if you want to save pics on twitter and facebook, then yhou need to open your web browser and go to their websites..... in the mean time, get a 3rd party twitter client like Plume and a 3rd party FAcebook client, like Friendcaster......... or.......... just wait until Twitter Inc and FAcebook Inc makes your dream possible.. lmao
