Why is it considered weird if someone has less than 1000 Facebook friends?

Who said that less than 1000 friends is weird?
That statement is weird.
If you have a company or a book or a product you wish to sell, then it's normal to have way over a 1000 friends on FB, but if you are a regular joe, small town man, etc., then the amount of your "friends" on FB is insignificant, like you.
I had near 300 "friends" and over the past month or so started my "spring cleaning" on FB and now I have only about 164 and decreasing as I feel.
Facebook really can be a great place for entertainment, spending your time, or wasting your time, depends on how a person sees it.
I use it for inspiration, have my favorite famous inspirational people on there. And just a handful of real friends.
Don't take FB so seriously. Go outside, live. Life is out there!
