Can you report a restaurant to the police for this?
I worked at this Japanese restaurant in London for a couple of weeks as a waiter. I understand that since I was under 18 they didn't have to pay me the minimum adult wage, although it was only £4.50 an hour, but the main problems were that they didn't write an official contract when I started working, they paid me by cash in hand, and when they fired me they sent it in a text message without a week's notice first. Surely that is wrong and illegal, right?

It's only illegal in that you won't get a tax deduction for the money you earned while working there.

Usually a contract between a minor wouldn't be valid without the parent or guardian's approval anyway. It is wrong, but it is likely NOT illegal... I'm in the US where we exploit foreign children though...

Nope, if you are not legally working there (which requires a contract) then they have no obligation to notify you ahead of time. sorry I wish it wasn't the case.

no its not illegal.
so revenge is the best plan, 1-get a pregnant Rat 2-release it in the restaurant when no ones looking 3-call the health department 4-close down the restaurant use YouTube Facebook twitter and *GOOGLE MAPS and destroy their god damn reputation. spread a rumor about them masturbating in a squid or something like that. go to the same restaurant as a costumer and make a scene. you can scream and yell about how long its taking them then complain about the food in a loud voice. and if they still have illegal workers you can call the cops about that. what they did to you was legal, what you are about to do to them is a legal master peace. |
