I think he's got talent as a rapper, but I can't take him seriously because like you said, he's an ex-corrections officer and a big fat phony and a liar pretending to be a drug boss.
We don't allow people like this to become famous. Record companies with billions of dollars pick who gets to be famous, not us.

Many rappers claim to be 'gangsta' so their record sells, some of them probably grew up spoiled not necessarily rich but came from a good upbringing buy they rap about things they never been through or did.. and stupid people buy their CDs thinking it's cool to be a thug, when in reality being a thug doesn't mean that person steals, kills, etc.. i agree that he is wack and a phony motherfcker....but like big daddy kane said...anyone can be a rapper....a rapper just rhymes....someone can say a line that includes the word cat rhyming with hat and be considered a rapper....but its another thing to be considered an MC...and MC is the art RAP...to be an MC u gotta do more things than just rhyming.....many people dont know the differnce of the example i just gave...they thing mc and rapper is the same thing

He isn't bad at rapping, but I just can't take him seriously; for him to be on TruTV's "World's Dumbest" and be a former correctional officer then flaunt about "smoking weed" and having a drug empire, I just can't take him seriously.

Well, as for him being a horrible person, I don't know. If he is a dead beat dad, leaving his son/daughter for solid reasons, then no, he isn't -- but if he did leave just for the sake of it, then, still no, I don't believe in horrible people, just choices that reflect on you. And I have a dead beat mother, so I can say that.

"Hwy do we allow people like this to get famus" -- Well, it starts out with a dream. They send the mixtape/demo tape to a label, and they sign him/her. With proper publication and publishing, this gets mainstreamed through the radio; and mindless people follow whatever the radio and social media says. Some people allow it, some people don't.

Overall, I don't like Rick Ross's music. It's just my opinion, though.
