No. I think the Norquist pledge has much more to do with the tax raises. The original proposals brought forth would have not raised taxes for us, but was blocked by the Norquist pledge as it would have raised taxes on the top 5%.
It's time to come back to reality. |

I am happy that Obama raised taxes. It's not fair that the greedy rich hoard all the wealth while I barely survive on food stamps. They need to pay their fair share.

Obama cut the payroll tax in the first place. It's hard to blame Obama when Republicans didn't want to go along with his ideas.
