Ive been getting weird adds on facebook and other websites?

Today adds started to appear on my facebook homepage across the top, they also appear in the comments area when i view a picture. Underneath they say adds not by facebook so i don't know if i have a virus or what but if anyone knows whats going on could you please tell me. thanks.

If you are using Firefox go to Tools at the top of your browser and select Options for the menu. Click on Content and select "block pop-up windows". Explorer should be similar. If using Firefox there is a free Ad-on called Adblock Plus which works great. There is also freeware like Adaware Free just google for it.
