Pro: If my potential employee were publicly posting pictures of being a drunkard and a druggie, I probably wouldn't want to hire that person, either.
Pro: I can verify what you say about you with the click of a mouse button. Pro: I have a stack of 500 potential employees; I need to find a reason *not* to hire you. Oh -- facebook; hm... that gives me a lot of reasons. Con: I have a right to a private life away from my employer, even if I am an idiot. I clock out from work; that's when my relationship with my employer ends. Con: I can be a psychopath/sociopath and create a false personality of myself. Con: Someone can steal my identity or create a false identity of me. |
