Almost all modern economies are Mixed Free Market ones. That is the German model. Ours is the Neo-Keynesian one.

Got to laugh at Zachary's answer.

If you go to Europe you'll find almost nothing made in America. Almost everything is made in China/Japan/Taiwan/Korea etc.

Apple products can be found all over the place ... but they're not even made in America!
