You need to connect your ipod touch to your computer and open up iTunes. It will ask if you would like to update it but it will probably charge you if you want to do it.

Do you have the newest update for the iTouch? I have a iPod Touch second generation and my Facebook app would not work unless I bought the newest update. It cost be about $5, and I actually really like it. I would recommend buying the newest update. It should work then.
