Because they enjoy and it's fun to them. But don't text her first also dont text her back right away text her back every hour or two it will drive her crazy trust me and whenever she text you and the conversation kind ends don't text her back dont give the effort to keep the conversation going give the least amount of attention to her because that's what she's seeking from you.

the whole deactivating facebook idea sounds like its not worth it, she may not even notice it unless you two talk alot on it. and even with the chance that she does notice it she might not connect it directly with your feelings with her. AND THEN if she does... she might figure that she has "'power" over you.

think of it like this... if you were a girl and knew that you could mess with a guys mind JUST ENOUGH that he will do something like deactivate facebook to simply prove a point might add to her ego (not saying shes a bad person or anything, i dont even know her, for all i know shes in love with you secretly).

one way to make all this work out for you...is to focus on your life (dont flat out ignore her obviously) but thatll prove that shes not your biggest priority (when she might actually be your biggest priority). this will give her something to think about, she'll probably think "why would this guy be all over me then just stop?"

So many girls read romance stories full of crap. Such as the "original" player boy finds his true love and doesn't stop until he gets her. She thinks all guys are like that. If you really like her then ask her out, and then you will either get to finally have a peaceful romance, or..... You might have to find another girl.

Girls play mind games for the sake of entertainment. This doesn't mean that they like you, they just take advantage of our gender's desperation for love in order to gain things to brag to their friends about, or to make us suffer for their own twisted entertainment.

In this day and age, finding females that actually feel legitimate love for guys is even more rare and difficult than finding pure gold in an asteroid field. I'm sorry if this upsets you, but that's how it is thanks to the media and crappy parenting. -_-

It sucks, but you know what? I'm not letting that bother me, and neither should you. You were right to quit talking to her, and you just ignore her. You deserve better than this.
