I get a lot of hate mail for that exact reason. I mention feminist or feminism on a dating profile I created and my inbox is full of hate mail. I use it so sparingly and passively. It is odd that it generates so much attention.
All you can do is ignore it. Think of it this way. Do they ever have an actual point to make? Are they concise? Are they articulate? Can they get the information across to you without personally attacking you? I bet the answer to all the question above is a solid and confident "no" If they attack you just understand that this is their personality type. They are destructive people and most likely they behave in the same asinine manner with their friends, families and lovers. Just like all the others posts say - ignore it. Ads |

I usually try to send a "Wow, you need a hug" type message back. But usually they've blocked me. That's very cowardly: send a hateful e-mail then block the person so they can't e-mail you back!
Outside of an occasional nutter on here, I don't have to deal with it much. Luckily no one's ever attacked me on my Facebook page. |
