Stephen king vs Charles dickens?

In strictly literary terms, Dickens is the better author, and I give him an A+ for creativity especially considering there was no major media or social networking at the time to help him come up with new ideas. I love his characters and the twists which come at the end of many of his books.
Among current authors, King can certainly hold his own. He is one of the few who has not burned out over time. His disadvantage is that there are not a lot of new ideas out there now, so he has to work harder to come up with better, more creative ideas to keep his audience.
I still give the lead to Dickens because I love his books.

I prefer Dickens, but they are very different authors from two very different times, so it is hard to compare.

I love Stephen King! only problem is , he's a long winded writer. Once he went on about a toaster for a full two paragraphs.

I prefer Stephen King over Chuck Dickens 'cause I like his style of writing more. Dickens is good I'll admit, but I like horror.
