Computer not booting up (Windows 7)?
Computer kept crashing after maybe 30 seconds after logging in normally. Crashed after 5 mins when in safe mode (with networking.) Did a Dell System Restore on the computer to factory standard.. Now, it instantly crashes before I get a chance to go to the log in screen. It has been blue screening instantly after the restore and the error I got originally was (before the restore) :

a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

check to be sure your adequate disk space . If a driver is identified in the Stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturere for driver updates. try changing video adapters.

Check with your hardware vendor for any bios updates. Disable Bios memory options such as caching or shadwing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, f8 to select advanced startup options, and then select safe mode.

hello all of a sudden my computer started restarting
here is the error

I'm pretty sure you got a virus. A bad one. Follow the steps. Wait a day or two. It will go away. If it doesn't, go to like RadioShack or best buy or some computer place and ask them. Or just get your computer repaired all together.
Hope I helped.
Thanks for answering mine(:

Hello Felicity,
My name is Krishna and I work for the Social Media and Community Team at Dell. Based on the symptoms, it's more likely that you have a bad hard drive or memory.
Try running the hardware diagnostics and see if it shows any errors. You can follow the instructions from http://dell.to/dU0fpw

Also, If you want to e-mail your service tag number along with the error codes(if any), I will have a look at the warranty to see what options we have. You can reach me at Krishna_KRN@Dell.com

Regards,
Dell-Kris K

The recovery process is rough on a hard drive - you may need a new hard drive. Do you have the recovery image on optical disks or just on the original hard drive?

If you can get to the internet and burn a CD, there is a cloning process that can be done from a CD to transfer everything to a new hard drive - Clonezilla is what I have written on my copy (20gb hard drive in ten year old laptop no longer large enough to install updates to - much less any new files of any kind).
