After re-installation window 7 finger print scanner is not working?

i have a dell studio 1737 laptop after i updated my windows vista in to windows 7 it fingerprint scanner stopped working its wifi is working correctly

go to dell.com support site and stick your service tag number to see if there's a driver for fingerprint scanner for windows 7.

You're missing the drivers.. Goto Dell's website, click on support, type in your Tag ID or select your make and model. Select Windows 7 and download the drivers for the fingerprint scanner......


Not all Vista drivers are Windows 7 compliant, that's why Dell provides different drivers for those items not working on your laptop at their support site.

Did you install the Chipset?

You could download the chipset or just the Fingerprint drivers.
