Use this program and the instructions :

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware :
http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
Scroll down and click Download free version. Don't have to buy it.

How to use Malwarebytes after it is installed:

1. Open Malwarebytes > Click on the Update Tab across the top> get the latest updates.

2. On the Scanner tab, make sure thePerform full scan option is selected and then click on theScan button to start scanning your computer

3. MBAM will now start scanning your computer for malware. This process can take quite a while.

4. When the scan is finished a message box will appear

5. You should click on the OK button to close the message box and continue with the Malwareremoval process.

6. You will now be back at the main Scanner screen. At this point you should click on theShow Results button.

7. A screen displaying all the malware that the program found will be shown

8. You should now click on the Remove Selected button to remove all the listed malware. MBAM will now delete all of the files and registry keys and add them to the programs quarantine. When removing the files, MBAM may require a reboot in order to remove some of them. If it displays a message stating that it needs to reboot, please allow it to do so. Once your computer has rebooted, and you are logged in, please continue with the rest of the steps.

9. When MBAM has finished removing the malware, it will open the scan log and display it in Notepad. Review the log as desired, and then close the Notepad window.

10. You can now exit the MBAM program.

You need to download an anti-virus and install it.
AVG Free edition is a good one to use, as well as Ad-Aware and Spybot: Search and Destroy.
However, installing an anti-virus on an infected system could cause problems with the program running correctly, or correctly identifying the infected file(s).

As for the comment that Macs are virus free, that's not true. Macs can and do get viruses, however most viruses for macs are hard to write and execute, thus, there is a sizable difference between viruses for the PC to Macs. You are safer on a Mac, but not 100%.

Follow this link:

If you register (for free), the people on those forums will help you clean your machine. Some viruses are very "deep" into the system, like rootkit viruses, and normal anti-virus scanners may not pick them all up....

an apple a day keeps the doctor away? loool best way to get rid of viruses is to dump the computer, and restart everything in your hard drive, easy to get all your settings back if you only use things like youtube or facebook, where your data is stored online, but if you download a lot you should go see a computer engineer and ask for some serious help

From an uninfected computer, download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and the Registry Key Fix program.

Copy the downloaded files onto your USB flash drive. If you do not have a flash drive, you can alternately download the files and burn them to a disc.

With the rogue program running, insert the USB flash drive or disc into the infected computer.
First, run the Registry Key Fix program. When Windows prompts whether or not you want to allow the data to be added to your computer, click on the Yes button.

Next, run the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware setup. When the installation begins, keep following the prompts in order to continue with the installation process. Do not make any changes to default settings and when the program has finished installing, make sure you leave both the Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware checked. Then click on the Finish button.

The program should automatically start after you hit the Finish button. You will see a message stating that you should update the program before performing a scan. Allow the updates to download. Once completed, you can click on the OK button and then you will be presented with the main screen of the program.

On the Scanner tab, make sure the the Perform Full Scan option is selected and then click on the Scan button to start scanning your computer for the rogue programs and any associated files.
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware will now start scanning your computer for malware. Depending on the speed of your computer, this process can take anywhere from 5-15 minutes. When it is complete, a message box will appear stating "The scan completed successfully. Click 'Show Results' to display all objects found." Click the OK button.

You will now be back at the main Scanner screen. At this point you should click on the Show Results button. A screen displaying all the malware that the program found will be displayed.
Make sure that all of the check-boxes next to each of the "Vendor" names are checked and click on the Remove Selected button.

When the program has finished removing the malware from your computer, it will open a scan log and display it in Notepad. Review the log if you want, and then close it. Close Your computer should now be malware-free and infection-free. You can remove the Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware program from your computer if you like, but you should keep the files on your flash drive or keep the disc that contains the files, in case of future infections.
