Email-Facebook message/coversation?

Right. Through my sky email account I sent out a birthday invite to most of friends, somehow this tied in friends off face and now this emil just won't go away. My friends are all really annoyed with me as no matter how many times they LEAVE THE CONVERSATION or turn notifications, this bloody email/message just continues to go around and around.

I've permantly deleted my Facebook account in hopes this would delete the original message (although ot sent from Facebook) but that hasn't worked, I have no IDEA what else I can. FB are unhelpful in sorting.

Anyone know what I can do to stop my poor friends having to live with this eternal email doing the rounds?
Unfriending me and blocking me isn't working?

Get them to block you and make a new account to add them again.
