Does it say SDHD on the card? If so, some computers will not support it, unfortunately.

What is your operating software?
In case:

Windows Vista/7: Make sure the "AutoPlay" switch for removable disks is ON

If nothing works, then it is not compatible.

Hello David,
My name is Krishna and I work for the Social Media and Community Team at Dell. Try the below steps and see if it helps.

1. Click the start pearl
2. Click Computer
3. Click Organize.
4. Click Folder and Search options
5. Click the View tab.
6. Uncheck Hide empty drives in the Computer folder.
7. Click OK.

An out of date or corrupt memory card reader driver, also known as a Ricoh Chipset Driver, can cause it too not detect the memory cards. Visit the Dell Drivers and Downloads website http://www.support.dell.com/ and input your Service Tag to get updates specific to your computer.

If this doesn't help, run a Memory Card Reader Diagnostic from the below link to check for hardware failure.

Regards,
