can i get a virus from a user on facebook playing poker?

in chat, while playing poker, people say they will give me a virus. but they cant jut give me a virus without me opening a file right or downloading one?

Your right! you can only get a virus byr e-mail or by downloading a file, If you dont know the person sending them then pls dont open them, delete right away and block them if you can

From experience, it could actually happen.
When the amount grows big, one hacker started to send blue tissue box to each player and the game freeze. We return only to find our bet gone, or treated as "fold" The hacker has his profile blocked.
Thought it was a connection problem and went back to the table. Since I lost my chips, I was only watching the game, and true enough, the same thing happened again, and players went swearing and cursing.

So, if the person had his ID blocked, or you don;t really know him, it is best just to ignore and leave the table. You can't win every hand.
