Bluetooth icon dissapeered from windows 7 when was working fine before?
I recently bought a bluetooth speaker which i connected to my dell laptop via bluetooth connections and it worked fine for about a day, now suddenly the bluetooth icon has disappeared from my control panel. Doing a search for it only comes up with devices and printers and setting up connection or network, there is no bluetooth option anywhere. The only thing that does come up is bluetooth file transfer, and when i try to use this it says 'the connection could not be established, check to make sure the bluetooth radio is plugged in'
I dont understand why this is happening? Its like my laptop no longer has bluetooth on it. Although the bluetooth light on my keyboard is still lit up.
Any advice?

trollface,

Just to add to what the other user posted. You may have accidently hit the key on the keyboard that turns the wifi/blueotth off if your computer does not have a switch to turn the wifi/bluetooth on.. Try hitting the Fn + F2 keys to turn wireless/bluetoth On or Off. Use Windows Mobility Center in the control panel or the WiFi activity light to check the status of the wireless connection.
If needed please email your system type and I can look up the computers wifi/bluetooth card information and provide further information that may be helpful in resolving your issue.

Thank You,
