Windows 8 Apps trouble and much more?
I purchased a Windows 8 pro upgrade for my new HP laptop. It recnetly had windows 7 home premium on it. All my apps on the start menu used to work correctly. I have my facebook accounts and email accounts linked. Recently after scanning for registry errors with ccleaner, my pc had a problem when i restarted it. Once it brought me back to my desktop, my wireless network ability of my computer wasn't enabled so I enabled it. I know I've been having problems with ATI Catalyst Control Center, so I went to the HP site for any updates for the driver. That didn't fix the compatibility issues. So for the main problem is I can't even open the apps in the start menu. In that case what's the use of even using windows 8 without them so I desperately need help. I don't think it's the ATI Catalyst Control Center, because win8 was working fine even with the issues with the driver. Did this all start with ccleaner? Or is it why everyone doesn't upgrade to Windows8 because of problems like these? This is a complicated problem and I thank you for any help I can get.

Update your drivers using a good driver scanner software. There is an alternative method too- using Device Manager. Here are the steps for you:
1. Click Start, type Computer Management and press ENTER. 2. Select Device Manager from the left hand side panel. 3. Right click a device, select "Update Driver Software". 4. Reboot when you're done. More info & details here: http://sorcim.com/knowledgebase/driver-s...eview.html |
