Going to a Concert Alone Good or Bad ?

Hey there I'm going to see my favorite band play live in Philly on January 19th 2013 I asked around to see if my friends could go with me but they can't. I really wanna see them this is my first concert as well if anyone lives in Philly and are going to the concert please let me know. Also have any of you gone to concerts by yourself and what was it like did you have a great time and make new friends while you there. I also have social anxiety and I'm scared that people will jugde me or beat me up someone on Facebook said I'll get raped while I'm down there is it really a good idea to go to a concert in the heart of Philly I dont wanna miss this concert I missed so many in the past and regretted it since also please no rude or mean comments about bvb sucks and all that shit okay thanks

I think you should definitely find someone to go with. Going to a concert alone is dangerous...and it wouldn't be as fun in my opinion. Make a new friend real quick and ask them to go i'm sure you can find somebody. If you do go alone make sure you bring some mace or something you can protect yourself with. And watch out for crazy weirdos!! Then don't go anywhere away from the crowd. If you do that i think you'll be fine but you should still try to find someone to go with.

I go to concerts on my own all the time, neither my partner or friends are into Alternative music so I'd rather go on my own than miss the show, in 25+ years I haven't had once negative expereince.

I did once go to the concert alone. To be honest it was boring, when band wasnt playing and I couldnt find any friends, because i am too shy to even say "hi". BUT when the band started playing it was awesome and I felt like everyone is my friend. I really didnt want to go to this concert alone, but i didnt want to miss it and i remember like i wasnt sure if i should or shouldnt go in this day of the concert. But i went!! I was alone ad it was boring till the band wasnt playing, but wen they started it was seven heaven. I dont regret and you should definitelly go man!
I like the similar music btw.
