How do I tell a guy I still have feelings for him?

I think he knows I already do. He more or less told me I was moving too quickly before since he'd just been recently out of a pretty damaging dating experience. He said he doesn't want to get hurt again. So I backed off. Gave him space for a couple months while still maintaining a bit of contact. I've dated other people, but no one really compares, and it's actually only made me appreciate him more. I want to tell him how I feel without sounding so... I guess the word would be desperate. I don't really like to wear my heart on my sleeve. We have so much in common, yet he always surprises me and makes me laugh. It's impossible to say where the relationship would go, but I could never see myself hurting him like he's been before. Could I write him a letter (I'm a journalist so I'm a fairly effective writer)? A text? Ask to meet up in person (which I'm not sure he would agree to yet)? Facebook him? Send him a Valentine?

How could/should I do this? If he doesn't reciprocate, then at least I can deal with that.

Simply tell him that you want another go at it and you think that you should take it a bit slower. Being simple usually works.

If I were in his shoes I'd love to receive a valentine! But try to not sound like you are his boyfriends or stuff. Say something kind, nice, so he'll be sure you care. Do it, show him you care. Cheers!
