what can be done if a national newspaper uses content from a facebook site without permission?
A frame from a video on Facebook was used by a national tabloid without even asking, never mind getting, permission. Can they be sued?

If you don't want people to see stuff it's perhaps best not to put it on facebook!!

In theory you could sue them for breach of copyright, but if you try this your lawyer fees will probably be a lot more than any compensation you might win.
If it was your video, why not just send them a bill for the usage? They probably won't pay you but it has more chance of success than a lawsuit. |
