I have a few questions about the new facebook "seen by" option?

I looked into a past group from one my friends out of boredom and that is where I found this "seen by" stuff on all of the group members' comments. Will it also have my name on the seen by thing when I scroll over each of them? Also, even though I am not part of the group, will my name still be seen?
The group was from early 2010
