Facebook - is this creepy?

I recently made a facebook account and have around 20 friends from people I know. theres a girl I wanted to ask out, but found out she moved, so I thought of asking her out over facebook. Im just wondering, is it a little odd sending a friend request when I only have 20 friends, or does it really matter? If it is, how should I get more friends - talk to more real people I see in person, or start adding randoms? Thanks in advance, any help is greatly appreciated.

If you have to ask if asking a girl out electronically is creepy, then you ARE creepy.
So, go for it.
A normal person has enough sense to know that a first date request should ALWAYS be in person.
So, you are abnormal.
It is not odd to send her a friend request if you know her. It sounds like you don't know her, though.
Otherwise you would have asked her out, one supposes.

You apparently want to be a poser. That is, have your fb appear to convey a certain image. I personally value authenticity over appearance. But like attracts like, so go for it. You should be getting "suggestions" for people who know your friends to be friended, I do not understand your need to add "random" people.
