How can I get on my moms facebook account?? Read more?
So my mom died 2 years ago, and her facebook account was still online when she died. She choked in her sleep. Then my dad tried to close her aol account, but he couldn't figure out the password and security questions! So her facebook is still up and people are still posting on her timeline and stuff and yesterday was her birthday! How can I delete her account? I know her security questions, but aol says its wrong! Please help?

If you have a Facebook account yourself you can go to the help center on Facebook and type in deceased person's account in the search bar within the help center. There will be a section on what to do.

Well, to delete her account, if you know her Email password then you can use "Reset Your Password"..

Do below steps ;

> Go to Facebook

> Then click on "Forgotten your password?" below the "Password" input area

> It will take you to "Find Your Account" page, where you have to type your mom's Email address which she used for Facebook account

> After typing the Email address click "Search"

> As Facebook recognizes your mom's account, It will take you to "Reset Your Password" page

> Select "Email me a link to reset my password" & then click "Continue"

This will send six-digit confirmation code in your mom's
Email account which you can type on the "Check Your Email" page and then click "Continue"

After that you can type new password and confirm. So you can now Log In to her Facebook account with your new password. Now as you have the access to her account, you can deactivate it!

But

If you don't know your mom's Email password then do as follows ;

Do as it is till the 4th step after then

> At 5th step i.e. on "Reset Your Password" page click "No longer have access to these?"

> It will take you to the "How can we reach you?" page

> Enter new Email and confirm
then click "Continue"

> Then it will take you to "Answer Your Security Question" page

As you said you know the answer, type it and then click "Continue"

> It will then take you to "Choose a new password" page

You can choose a new password now.

But if you can not remember the security questions then
in the "Answer Your Security Question" you will see
Can't remember the answer? Recover your account with help from friends. Click on the link.

> This will take you to "Recover Your Account Through Friends" page

You'll see 3 steps over there

Step 1 Choose 3 trusted friends
Step 2 Call your friends to get security codes.
Step 3 Recover your account.

Now if you know your mom's friends and that they can help you with this

> Then click "Continue"

> This will take you to "Select a Friend to Assist You (1 of 3)" page, where you can select three of your mom's Facebook friend for resetting the password of her account

> After selecting 3 friends click "Continue"

> The selected friend must get the codes and you'll have to enter all the codes provided by them to reset your mom's account

In the case if you don't know her Email password or if the security answer or the 3 friends help didn't work then you'll have to know her Email password anyhow..

For that you can reset her password using the provided guide lines from the provider of her Email account...

With different companies, they have different system for password reset option... like : GMail or Yahoo or Outlook

Visit their help pages for password reset option...

Once you reset her Email password, you can easily get in to her account by using above mentioned methods....

Good Luck !!!

P.S. And yes you can use Facebook "Memorialization Request" service also for Memorializing the Account of dead person... but it usually evolves so lengthy process and many things...
