If you only follow WWE and TNA then maybe it is. If you follow other Professional Wrestling Promotions, the answer would be no. Because of Facebook for example I get notified of upcoming wrestling shows that I would otherwise not know about. If you are using Social Media to find out about shows and then buy tickets and go to wrestlign Shows, then that is actually helping Professional Wrestling, not hurting it. If all you do is watch wrestling on television and other electronic devices and don't actually spend any money, then you're not helping Professional Wrestling in any way and are just using Social Media as an excuse.

Social media is an extremely popular activity on the Internet. If nobody uses Twitter, why are they second behind Facebook and among the most traffic heavy sites on the Internet? Guess what, wrestling isn't decling just because Michael Cole mentioned twitter, wrestling declines by itself, not because of social media. If you are still watching, than you won't admit that you find it interesting, and is just saying you are uninterested because you don't realize these facts. Social media is pretty much FREE advertisement for millions of companies worldwide.
