...not privatizing it?
Saying it should be privatized because the government is pilfering it is not a logical plan of action. That's like saying the bank is stealing from my savings so I'll keep my money under my bed. Wrong, if the bank starts stealing your money, you sue the shit out of the bank! America's government gets away with doing whatever they want because Americans don't hold the government responsible for anything. You sit around pointing the finger at each other, "It's the Republicans fault", "No, it's the Democrats". Both wrong, it's the government. All your leaders have been abusing your social security program for years and if you don't get angry and demand they stop, they're not going to. Ads |

Money for SS needs to be removed from the general fund so that politicians can't keep raping it. SS needs to be phased out and responsibility for retirement needs to be placed back into the hands of the individual.

I am not against some money going into the stock market. That money would be separate from the general Social Security funds.
Read the link below. It has a recommendation to set aside some contributions into the stock market, a small amount. The real fix will be "a gradual increase in the payroll tax cap to 90 percent of earnings." Anything else will not allow future retires to have 100% of the current benefit level. However, if we do nothing, future retires will have only 75% of the current benefit level. In other words, Social Security will not bankrupt. It will not go bankrupt because payroll taxes will still be collected. http://www.hks.harvard.edu/jeffreyliebma...iption.pdf Ads |
