How can I get a lot of followers on twitter?

I have just recently made a new twitter account, and was wondering how can I get a lot followers?
I have started to follow a lot of celebrities ( One Direction, JB, etc.)....Is there any trick to get like 100, or 500, or even 1000!?

You should join follow exchange sites, and follow a lot of people that you think will follow you back.

The key is having a good profile, pic, description will do. Tweets are counted as well!
