You can only deactivate it normally.. never permanently.. if you want info gone just delete all messages, photos and remove all friends and taggs.. then deactivate it and delete the assosiated email.. in 7 years face book will remove the profile permanently.

Sign into your Facebook account and click on the wrench icon aka tools in > corner. click on help and type in how to delete a Facebook account then when it pops up click on it. scroll down to the section where it says deleting and deactivating a Facebook account and click on the blue link that says let us know. enter your password and the verification code phrase and click on delete your account and close it out.

There is a DELETE MY ACCOUNT on fb that will help you delete your account permanently.For that you need to request the facebook help center to delete your account.

In order for your account to be permanently deleted, you must not log into it after completing the account deletion process. That includes not logging in via iPhone, Blackberry, or Motorola DynaTAC. These may unintentionally cause you to remain logged in even after you attempt to delete your account, which Facebook interprets as you not really wanting to leave them. While you could just log out of these apps, the safest measure would be to get rid of them entirely.
