I saw a trend on twitter and i started researching a little, and this is the first thing that popped up! is its real? it doesn't seem it really! Tongue I feel stupid! but really is this true? if im wrong, i mean duh, the pic is fake! but im curious, it sounds like a joke......

No I don't think so. It is just a rumor. Tweeted rumors. They said that he was doing some vinegar-baking soda experiment and then an explosion occurred and said that killed him. He's not actually dead, but maybe wounded.

Rest assured that Bill Nye is alive and well. On Twitter, certain people got upset about a video that he recently made where he expresses his views on creationism (he doesn't believe in it, and urges parents not to introduce the idea to their children). From there, the rumor took off thanks to people with poor fact-checking skills.

Nye himself actually posted a picture of himself on his Twitter that read, "Alive & at JPL press conf."
