it depends on your commitment with him/her. if the two of you made an agreement that you are now officially in a relationship then you may add it on your fb profile.
just make it sure that she/he won't misunderstand it |

This is an excellent question as this could be crucial to maintaining the relationship in question. If your new partner is female, it is important that your status is updated at some point between the time in which she verbally agreed to date you and the time that she next checks her facebook page. This can be tricky with the current technology considering that women are psychically linked to social networking sites. If your new partner is male, then it doesn't really matter. I'd suggest within a week or next time you get around to checking your social site; whichever comes first.
