i just want to know if they can see what i do on my home wifi. i know they can on thiers but i want to know abiut mine. thanks!

They really won't be able to see anything unless they take your computer and search the history. Your search history cannot be seen by anybody but you.

the only thing a public IP address shows someone is the location of your ISP, so basically your city and state
it cannot be used to obtain your home address, or anything else you do online |

No, they can't. It's so creepy if anyone who know our IP address can see whatever we do. From IP address, people only know from what location you do the internet connection.
