My friend has private instagram yet gets hundreds of likes?

My friend has a private instagram, he follows around 30 people and has about 30 followers, yet he gets like 200 likes without using hashtags? How is that even possible?

I use a website called GramHoot (http://gramhoot.com/referral.php?id=JoanneSheppard I just did my referral url because I believe you get perks for giving it out). You can get 200 likes on all of your photos and all they ask is for you to make another instagram account and allow them to use it to give people likes

Also, I use and app called 'wowlikes' which works on points. basically for each photo you like you get a 'credit' and the credits can be used to get likes on your photos. I believe that 300 likes is around 500 credits.
